Welcome to Miss Maravilla's Website!
Welcome to Kindergarten! I am excited to have you in my classroom this year! My name is
Cristina Maravilla and this will be my third year teaching Kindergarten at Sam Houston
Elementary. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in elementary
education EC- 6th. GO BEARKATS! In my spare time I enjoy fishing with my family and reading a
good book. I look forward to this new school year and working with you and your child!

Ways to Help/Volunteer
Parents are always welcome in my classroom. If you would like to volunteer to come help us out in
our classroom, please make sure to fill out the form during meet the teacher. I will contact you to
discuss more information about volunteering. If you are not able to stop by during meet the teacher I
will be sending volunteer forms. Our classroom is always accepting donations from parents. If you
would like to send a donation please check out the list below of items that we constantly need year long.

REMIND 101
I really want you as parents to feel free to contact me at anytime. If it is to ask
questions about homework or any other questions, to inform me of any concerns
or just want to know an update of your child's progress. I will be using a "texting"
APP on my phone. It is to keep teachers, parents and students connected in a safe and faster way.
When you send me a message it will automatically notify me on my phone either by vibrating or ringing.
It is called Remind 101, it is free for Iphones and other smart phones. I encourage all of you to download
it request to be added to my list.

APPS and Online Resources:
Children are learning how to use technology at a young age in today's world. I want to give a
list of some apps and Internet sites that will academically benefit your child. Kids love to use
cell phones, tablets and computers; it is up to us to monitor how they are using them. These
APPs and online sites not only will they benefit your child but they will be having fun
while using them.
